Please join me at any of these fun events!
Saturday November 7th
11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
I am very happy to be a part of this event in its first incarnation. It’s put on by Provision Asheville, a small organization that hosts arts events. They don’t charge artists any booth fee or percentage of sales- they are organizing this event simply to support the arts and our local artists!
This event is held across West Asheville- stores and businesses are opening up their doors, allowing artists to set up booth space all along Haywood Road. As they describe it:
A free, self-guided event showcasing local artist’s work placed inside businesses along Haywood Rd. You will be able to visit multiple artists booths at your own pace. All booths will be in walking distance of each other along Haywood Rd. Free parking will be provided at Grace Baptist Church. You can also pick up a map and directory of artists at the information booth located by the parking lot.
Since this event is free for me to participate in, my works will be sold at a slight discount- so stop by for some great affordable art! I’ll be set up in Edelweiss Events which is back by Banditos in the little shopping area next to Ingles on Haywood Road. There will be several other artist set up in the event space, including the talented and psychedelic Kurt Thaesler!
And be sure to swing by Luke Atkinson Furniture on Haywood to check out the fiber arts and herbal goods by my buddy Heidi of Good Fortune Fiber as a part of this walk. She plucks the fur from her own Angora bunnies (it doesn’t hurt), spins it into yarn and then knits them into amazing things you can wear for Pete’s sake! Doesn’t get more local than that….

A Pop Up Art Show at Rosewater Gallery
83 N. Lexington Ave.
http://rosewatergallery.com/
Rosewater Gallery is a beautiful gallery space and gift shop located in the heart of downtown on Lexington Ave. It’s owned by my longtime friend and local artist, Alena Hennessey.
This will be a really fun event with lots of delicious refreshments, a ton of my art and books, and a great place to stop by for some holiday shopping.
The store is filled with beautiful art, jewelry, and objects. I’m very excited to have my own art pop up among such beautiful things!

First Congregational UCC Asheville
20 Oak Street in Downtown Asheville
First Congregational UCC (also known as my day job!) is hosting an Alternative Gift Market in their Friendship Hall. The market will feature local artists (paintings, prints, pottery, fiber arts, etc.) as well as a stand where you can purchase a sponsorship gift through Heiffer International , a charity that helps children and families around the world receive training and animal gifts that help them become self-reliant.
Below are some examples of the art and bookbinding I’ll be selling. For more info about my antique photos and journals, see https://harperleich.wordpress.com/bodelia-books-antiques/.
Awesome! See you there
